CSR: 100% of Atypio hotels Green Key certified by 2026
Our sustainable commitment is measurable: 39 Atypio hotels awarded the Green Key label in 2026!
Our Group is reaching a new milestone in its sustainable development strategy. In 2025, 27 Atypio hotels were awarded the Green Key label, compared to only 10 in 2024. In 2026, 39 hotels are now certified.
Year after year, this steady progress reflects a concrete commitment: reducing the environmental footprint of our hotels, improving energy performance, optimising resource management, and continuing to evolve our practices towards more responsible dining.
Behind these results lies a clear ambition: delivering quality and innovation without compromising the planet. With this momentum, Atypio aims to be among the key players driving hotel rse forward in France.
1. An ESG milestone achieved in January 2026
On Thursday, 22 January 2026, Green Key – Teragir published, in its annual press release, the list of French establishments certified for 2026, including both new entrants and hotels renewing their certification.
Among them, we are especially proud to announce that 100% of Atypio hotels have obtained the certification—or are in the process of consolidating it. This collective achievement rewards the work carried out on the ground by our teams, partners and hotel management teams, with one shared objective: to progress year after year towards a more sustainable hospitality model.
For part of our portfolio, this certification is a continuation of an ongoing journey: most properties are renewing their commitment for a third year. However, for 12 hotels, this is their first Green Key certification in 2026—a symbolic milestone that highlights the acceleration of our ESG roadmap.
2. Rapid team mobilisation, driven by our hotel management model
This progress is even more significant as it largely concerns hotels owned by COVIVIO HOTELS, recently integrated and now managed within the Atypio Group.
Only 12 months after signing the hotel management agreement, Atypio teams and on-site operational teams took on a demanding challenge: structuring the process, mobilising resources, aligning practices and meeting the required Green Key standards within the given timeframe.
This is a strong demonstration of our ability to deploy a sustainable strategy across a network, while staying grounded in operational realities. Because hotel rse is not just a message—it is a method, an organisation, and a continuous improvement mindset.
We would like to warmly congratulate all teams for their dedication and for this new commitment made in 2025, which is now recognised through an official certification.
3. A network moving forward together
Our Atypio network, made up of both managed hotels and owned properties, is now moving in the same direction. This alignment is a key marker: it enables shared standards, supports best-practice exchanges, and amplifies positive impact at Group level.
Two residences were not able to submit their application in 2025: Mercure Paris Boulogne and Mercure Paris La Défense. Our objective remains clear: continue structuring the approach, remove constraints and support these properties towards the next milestone, with the same level of ambition and pragmatism.
4. Green Key: a demanding label built on 120 criteria
If Green Key is a recognised benchmark in hospitality, it is because it is based on a rigorous evaluation framework. The label includes 120 criteria, structured around seven key areas:
- Guest awareness and engagement
- Energy management
- Water management
- Waste management
- Responsible purchasing
- Living environment
- Best practices
These requirements evolve every year, with stronger expectations regarding traceability, consumption reduction, purchasing policies and team involvement.
For Atypio hotels, this certification therefore represents far more than a logo: it validates concrete actions implemented daily to preserve resources, improve internal practices and enhance the guest experience through a responsible approach.
5. A collective success, supported by our partners and ambassadors
This momentum is part of a collective effort built over several years, strengthened by the support of specialised partners such as Fairmoove Solutions, who actively contribute to structuring our ESG strategy.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to our 42 ESG ambassadors, as well as Marion Merveilleux and Marie Porcher, for their continued commitment. Their role is essential: leading initiatives, sharing knowledge, bringing teams together, spreading best practices, and maintaining a high level of standards across our properties.
By joining the 3,035 French establishments certified Green Key in 2026, Atypio hotels are becoming part of a strong national movement—and reaffirming their willingness to contribute, in concrete terms, to a more sustainable hospitality industry.
6. A long-term vision for responsible hospitality
Atypio will continue to evolve its practices and support its hotels on this journey. Because the future of hotel rse is based on a simple conviction: commitments must be measurable, results must be shared, and progress must be sustained over time.
This increase from 10 to 39 certified hotels is a significant milestone. Above all, it sends a clear message: thanks to a structured, committed hotel management approach aligned with environmental challenges, it is possible to combine performance, quality and responsibility.
