The Green Key label An international standard for sustainable tourism
Clef Verte is a global benchmark for sustainable tourism. This certification is awarded to establishments that meet strict criteria in terms of environmental management, customer awareness and social commitment. Certified hotels must reduce their ecological footprint while maintaining impeccable quality of service.
For Atypio, obtain this label for 27 hotels by 2025 represents much more thanan achievement This is a key step towards achieving its vision of sustainable hospitality.
Remarkable growth in 2025
In January 2024, Atypio had 10 Green Key certified hotels. Thanks to a strategy of continuous improvement and collective commitment, the group has added 17 new establishments to this list in just one year, bringing the total to 27 certified hotels.
With 92 % of owned hotels already certified and 20 % of managed hotels already certifiedAtypio is committed to sustainable tourism in France. These results testify to our firm determination to achieve an ambitious objective: to obtain the Green Key label for 100 % of our owned hotels in the short term.
Key success factors
Atypio's success is based on several fundamental pillars:
A collective effort
Each labelled establishment is supported by committed support teams and a network of CSR ambassadors within the Group. These ambassadors play an important role in helping to put in place good ecological practices and raising awareness among their staff of the importance of sustainable development.
Partners you can trust
To achieve its objectives, Atypio has been working since its creation with partners such as Betterfly Tourism, who specialise in helping hotel establishments adopt environmentally responsible management practices. This collaboration, coupled with other green partnerships and a developing Atypio technical and maintenance department, means that the measures required to obtain the Green Key label can be validated and/or implemented efficiently.
A personalised, innovative approach
Each Atypio hotel adapts its initiatives to its local context and specific characteristics. This validates concrete actions such as the installation of systems to reduce water consumption, the use of eco-labelled cleaning products, or the partnership with French producers and investment in soil-less agriculture to offer sustainable catering.
A positive impact on passengers and the environment
For Atypio, the Clef Verte label is not just an internal initiative. It represents an extended commitment to customers, who are increasingly sensitive to ecological issues.
An enhanced customer experience
By committing itself to sustainable tourism, Atypio offers its customers a positive experience. Each establishment invites travellers to participate in preserving the environment through eco-friendly gestures, the use of eco-responsible equipment and the promotion of Made in France.
A reduced carbon footprint
The actions taken by the hotels awarded the label help to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve waste management and cut energy consumption. These results contribute directly to protecting the environment while meeting the expectations of travellers who are concerned about their impact.
Recognition for hard work
"We are actively pursuing our continuous improvement approach to offer positive hospitality to our customers. It's a great recognition of the work we've put in since our creation in 2018." - Jérôme Schibler, co-founding partner of Atypio Hotel Experience.
In 2025, this recognition by the Clef Verte label highlights the Group's ongoing commitment and its desire to move the sector towards a greener future.
